WOW! Its been a while… where do I start? OK! Lets start with…THE CRANK IS BACK!… and I’m SUPER STOKED for 2011!  I just got back from an amazing trip back home. Got to see friends and family on Guam and Saipan! Its really nice to go back home and be surrounded by & get back in touch with your roots…Be surrounded by family, friends, language, culture, beach, SUN, and 80 degree weather (all year)! WAIT I can’t believe I almost forgot FOOD! Hahah… Its real nice feeling the “family” and hospitality our island radiates. (Maila’ Boy! EAT MORE! Make sure you bring food home! LOL)
Never never forget! (yes 2 nevers)  It reminds me to one day come back and give back to what the Island has given me. 😉 Proud of where I’m from and wouldn’t trade it for anything!
After all the roast pig, red rice, kelaguin, estofau (did I spell that right), and ALL the power food! I am Recharged and ready to rock! 2011 here I come!

Crank CUT

Crank CUT

Been thinking a lot of MMA lately. Of course been doing a lot of Jiu-Jitsu! I Love the Gi! Would love to walk out to my next fight in a Gi! I wish the commission would let me fight in gi pants!
I haven’t found anything more “pure” than a Vale Tudo fight /MMA fight! (vale tudo means ‘anything goes’) It is the most basic form of competition. OK CHECK THIS! So… if we take all forms of competition like basketball, football, chess, etc… If we take all these different forms of human competition and find the primal/ancient/original/fundamental form of it…. It would have to be hand to hand combat! And how do humans get better at it??!? Drum Roll please………via Martial Arts ;)! (YEAH I THINK ABOUT THIS ALL THE TIME! Ha!) Many may disagree, but I leave you something to really think about.

ANYWHOO

I am Stoked for 2011! Master Lloyd and the rest of Team Lloyd Irvin are gonna rock the scene! The Jiu-Jitsu Training Camp for the 2011 World Championships is SICKKK! 3 a day training sessions is gonna be freaken awesome!
I apologize for all the exclamation points on this post… you can tell I’m excited!!!! VERY EXCITED!!!!!
ok back to the subject. 3x a week we’ll be working out with strength and conditioning coach D’Angelo Kinard, every other day its mandatory to go over practice footage and document mistakes that need to be fixed, and a load of drilling and Jiu-Jitsu.
