This past weekend I did my first purple belt tournament! It was fun as hell! Had a good time… I went down with 7 other teammates to compete in Hartford Connecticut. SUPER LONG DRIVE! I think it was about 7-9 hours of driving including traffic. (Why did pass NYC during Rush Hour?)

We got to the event, weighed in, ate breakfast at Dennys! We all ate good dont worry… Eggs, granola, oatmeal, turkey bacon, and other good stuffs!
DJ Jackson and I closed out our Purple Belt weight class division and the Purple Belt Absolute division.
JT Spiderman Torres won the absolute Black Belt division and the $1000!
Jimmy Harbison won the no gi absolute advanced and $1000!

Jeremy, Andris “SNIPER”, and Sijara racked up a LOAD of wins winning and placing in their divisions!
Lenny Maggio took some ankles at the tournament and sent them to heaven! hahah… Them leg locks man!
